Barbara Ann, nee Vandiver, Holloway, 86 of Marissa, IL; born April 25, 1925 in Louis Station, MO; passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Canterbury Manor Nursing Home in Waterloo, IL.
Mrs. Holloway was the head cashier / teller at the 1st National Bank of Marissa later Magna Bank for 39 years. She was a member of the Marissa Presbyterian Church where she also organized many trips for seniors. She headed the Veterans Memorial Monument committee at the Marissa Township Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Lena, nee Klotz, Vandiver. Her husband James Holloway whom she married on June 9, 1942 in Santa Rosa, CA and who passed away on February 10, 1982. 1 daughter – Cathy Holloway. 1 grandson – Sean Holloway. 1 brother – Bill Vandiver.
She is survived by 1 son – Ron Holloway of Cumming, GA. 1 daughter – Toni Holloway of Waterloo, IL. 7 grandchildren. 12 great-grandchildren. 1 sister-in-law – June Vandiver of Darmstadt, IL.
Visitation: Friends may call at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Monday, April 16, 2012 from 6:00pm to7:00pm
Funeral: A memorial service will be held at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 7:00pm with Rev. James Ryan officiating.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
