DIERKS
Archie Dean Dierks, 94, of Marissa, IL; born on March 13, 1927 in Sparta, IL; passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his home.
Archie owned and operated Colorama TV in Sparta for over forty-five years. He was a people person that enjoyed going to other businesses in town and visiting. Archie loved his family and his church family. He liked to help at the Friedens UCC Wurstmarkt when he was able, and he also enjoyed working at the Sonshine Corner in Marissa. You could usually find Archie outside in the mornings through the week, watching the kids get picked up by the school bus before being brought to school. He loved meeting new people and making friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife – Betty June (Lorberg); second wife – Peggy Ann (Campbell); parents – William and Lena (Meyerhoff) Dierks; two granddaughters – Amy Sue Dierks and Katherine Lynn Dockery; stepson – Kevin “Todd” Campbell; three brothers – Victor Dierks, William “Sonny” Dierks, and Ronnie Dierks; two sisters – Mae Lakeman and Evelyn Hall.
Archie is survived by his children – Michael Dierks and Paula (Charles) Dockery; stepson – Timothy Campbell; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens UCC in Marissa, IL.

Funeral services will be held at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brett Palmer officiating. Friends and family may gather at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be held at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville, IL.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta, IL is in charge of arrangements
