I will never forget the day Amos found out that my dad was gravely ill. I was home from college and he found me in the White Lantern Restaurant. He came up to me and said “lets take a ride” and for the next hour we drove around the outskirts of Marissa, having an adult beverage, and talking about family. It was his way of helping me get through a difficult time and I will always be grateful. To Debbie and the Harris family, please accept my deepest sympathy. I will be in California and won’t be able to be there in person but you will be in my thoughts.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Amos. He was so good hearted and kind. I will be forever grateful to him and Debbie for the opportunity to work for them at Tiffany’s. I truly may have never made it in the hair business without them. They both taught me so much. We worked hard and had so much fun. Amos always kept us going, always there for us. He was loved by his employees and clients alike. My sincere sympathy to Deb and the family. He will be greatly missed by many.

Amos Wade was one of my very best friends and classmates! We went through the Marissa Grade School and the Marissa Township High School together! I have so many wonderful memories of what I used to call my AMOPOSOP I couldn’t begin to tell about all of them! When we were growing up he was like a brother to me and a son to my Mom, Mrs. Bonnie E. Juenger! He used to come to our home and he never had to knock! He knew he was always welcome and would walk right in! When we graduated from MTHS in 1959 Mom took pictures of Amos and I in our caps and gowns with her little Brownie camera! We were standing outside of the Marissa Sheltered Care Home! At the Baccalaurette Service Amos and I walked together to our chairs and at the Graduation Service we sat side by side! I remember when Amos went with Penny Schmidts, Karen Johnson and Suzy McGill! God bless you Amos Wade, your Family and Loved Ones and may He always keep each of you in His loving arms and care during your time of greif! I loved you Amos Wade when you with us and I will always love you while you’re up there with God and the Angels! Please say Hi to my Susanne Elaine and Mom!

Amos and Debbie were great friends to my mom, Ruth Calvert. Last July, while we were packing her things and getting her ready to move to the nursing home, Deb, Amos & Bill walked down to say goodbye to her.
This was one of the hardest days of my life – telling mom she had to move. I was a complete basket case and mom was so confused. Amos and Debbie were wonderful. Deb hugged me and Amos reassured mom that everything would be alright. Good folks. Amos will be missed. Prayers from all the Calvert kids and mom too!
