Allegra Jean Bunch, nee Dickerson, 85, of Coulterville, IL, born April 4, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Friday August 18, 2023 in Swansea, IL at the home of Clay and Rosemarie Bunch with her family present.  She had worked at Midwest Home Savings & Loan and retired from Marvin’s Camera, both in Belleville, IL.  She was a member of Trinity UCC Church in Biddleborn, IL and Forever Friends group of Belleville Township High School class of 1956. She was an avid league bowler at Panorama Lanes in Belleville,IL. and loved her time camping and traveling the country with friends and family. She could make friends with anyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Dwayne and Elsie (Diehl) Dickerson, husband – Robert “Bobby” Bunch, who passed away on February 9, 2016,  a son in infancy – Crayton Bunch and by her sister – Cynthia Beth Dickerson.

Mrs. Bunch is survived by her son – Clay (Rosemarie) Bunch of Swansea, IL, two brothers – Dwayne Dickerson of Denver, CO and Del-Rae (Beckie) Dickerson of Morton, IL, two grandchildren – Clara (Scott) Hansen of Freeburg, IL and Amy (Andrew) Vollmer of Columbia, IL, five great grandchildren – Shelbie, Jillian and Mabrie Hansen, Aaden and Ashton Vollmer. Sisters in laws Delores Lawrence and Frances Bunch along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials are encouraged to be made to Trinity UCC Church in Biddleborn, IL.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL

Funeral:  Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating.  Burial will follow at Marissa TWP Cemetery in Marissa, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL is in charge of arrangements.

   I went to High School with Allegra. She was a very happy person and always had a smile on her face.
   Sad to learn she passed away. Truly sad for her family and other friends.
