Alan Lee Schilling, Sr. 62, of Lenzburg, IL, born April 15, 1963, in Belleville, IL, passed away Thursday January 8, 2026, at his residence.  He owned and operated Alan’s Towing in the late 80’s into the early 1990’s.  He then spent the next 30+ years as a truck driver for USPS, JE Phillips, Johnson Trucking and Sandberg. Alan was also a member of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois motorcycle club..

Preceding him in death were his parents – Alexander Francis and Carol Ann (Schifferdecker) Schilling.

Alan is survived by his wife – Dee Ann Schilling, his children – Tiffany Schilling of Sparta, IL, Nicole (Thomas) Harvey of Coulterville, IL, Alan (Nikki) Schilling, Jr. of Red Bud, IL, Hannah (Preston) Hille of Sparta, IL. Grant Schilling of Sparta, IL, 2 stepsons – Billy (Crystal) Hiller of Oakdale, IL and Devon (Paige) Hiller of Marissa, IL, a sister – Susan (John) McMullan of Waterloo, IL and a brother – Dale (Glenda) Schilling of Baldwin, IL.  He is also survived by grandchildren – MaTayla, Tayden, Vaughn, Fynn, Isara, Eli, Asa, Lux, Prim, Aerianna, Amira, Aryah 6 step grandchildren and 1 step gr. granddaughter.

Visitation: 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday January 13, 2026, and 9 – 11 a.m. Wednesday January 14, 2026, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday January 14, 2026, at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL.   Burial will follow the funeral service at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Paderborn, IL
