Randall “Randy” Lee Welten, 61, of Sparta, IL; born on November 28, 1960 in Red Bud, IL; passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Sparta, IL.
Randy liked hot rods, flying his drone and collecting trains. He worked at Marissa White Oak Golf Course in maintenance, and he enjoyed mowing grass. He loved to finish a day by relaxing with his family and drinking a coca cola.
He was preceded in death by his parents – Willbern and Mary Ellen (Despain) Welten and sister – Katherine Welten.
Randy is survived by his loving wife – Melinda (Ralston) Welten to whom he married March 28, 1987 in Farmington, MO; five children – Amanda (Ryan) House of Chester, IL, Randall Welten Jr. of Sparta, IL, Dalton (Victoria) Welten of Coulterville, IL, Melina Welten of Sparta, IL, and Cheyenne Welten of Steeleville, IL; twelve grandchildren – Austin House, Aaron House, Kourtney House, Alexis House, Addilyn Welten, Khloe Welten, Dawson Welten, Oakley Welten, Elliot Rogers, Vincent Welten, Chase Welten, and Everleigh Welten; one sister – Tonya Welten of Sparta, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kristin Morris for “Randy Welten’s Fundraising”. Donations may be brought directly to Sparta Banking Center in Sparta, IL.
Condolences may be left for the family at www.heilschuessler.com
Family and Friends may gather at Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Sparta on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial services will begin at 5:00 p.m.
